Today is the 1st May and (Inter) National Scrapbook Month and once again Let's Scrap is bringing us loads of Challenges and most of all FUN! I hope you all remembered to get your Bingo words in by 25th April because last year we had lots of excitement and friendly competition. This year is going to be a challenge for me as I leave for the UK on 21 May, so am hoping I can pick up WiFi everyday to get my words or better yet shout BINGO before I even leave :).
I have been a terrible blogger - just been so busy designing pages, finishing a scrapbook album for my friend and getting it delivered and now finishing an album for my mom which has to go to the UK with me. Anyway no excuses I should be loading pictures of what I've been up to and will try and do this later today.
If you're not already a member of Let's Scrap I suggest you get on down there and join in the FUN!!!
See you around......

3rd Scrapbook Day
Can you believe that we are already planning our 3rd scrapbooking event. The last two have been such a success that the ladies have been asking when our next day is going to be.
This time we will create two double layouts!! It is going to be an action packed day. So don’t be shy and get a group of friends together and join us for a day filled with scrapbooking, friends, food and loads of fun ….
You will create another double layout that has been specifically designed by Michelle van Wyk for this event. I REMEMBER WHEN……

The month of February
A lot has happened over the last month. My mom emigrated to the UK which was quite emotional. To help with all the stress in my life, I decided to scrap. Scrapbook 'n Things had a special for the month of February where you paid R300 and you could attend as many classes as you wanted. I definitely made the most of this offer. I completed at least 2 double pages a week. My aim was to complete one of the albums that my mom had asked me to do of my step-father and just chill. I was doing someone else's pages, so I didn't have to think either it was absolute bliss.
Then we had the Leap around the World blog hop which was also fun, although time consuming. I am still trying to figure out if it was the blog hop that made me use my 10gig allowance of broadband :). If you don't tell my family, I certainly wont.
Lara from Scrapbook 'n Things also has a monthly challenge where you buy a kit at less 20% and you must use everything in the kit and come up with a unique design. The customers that come into the shop then get to vote and the winner gets a American Cardstock pack + a gift voucher to shop in the store. Not bad actually.
This is one of the pages I designed using the Scrap Collections range of papers and a Let's Scrap sketch.
I also arranged a scrapbook fundraiser which was held on 18 February 2012 and thanks to Michelle van Wyk for helping me with the double page layout called Seek, I designed another single page of all the precious children at Tsholofelo Baby Sanctuary where I volunteer called Love Blooms Here.
My mission for the month of March is to finish all my unfinished pages and their are loads of them. I battle putting on titles and doing journalling. As I finish, I will take photo's and load them for all to see.
Happy Scrapping

"D" DAY
Can you believe that a whole month has gone past. I was very optimistic and thought I would get all 50 cards made, but alas only managed 14. I also haven't updated my blog this month, purely because I didn't know how to keep the Blog Hop on the top. I better start learning all these things soon. I have had such fun reading your comments and seeing your cards. Thank you so much for playing along and following my blog. Cross fingers that you will be the winner of my RAK. I will be doing the draw tomorrow morning SA time using the www.random.org system to make it fair.
I will start posting what I have been up to next week just so that you know I have been busy. Apart from my 14 cards, I made about 8 double page layouts.
Got to sign off now. Sleep tight and for those of you who still have to load cards, make comments and become a follower you best hurry as time is running out.

In this card, the top strip says Happy Birthday which takes the form of the sentiment. I dipped the edges of the pattern paper in water and rolled the edges to give the card a grungy look because it was for my son.
Both these cards were created for my son who just turned 21. Now for the fun part! Here is the RAK that I am offering!
Here is how easy it is to enter for my random draw:
*Be or become a member of Let’s Scrap which you can do by clicking here http://letsscrap.ning.com/. It is free, easy and fast! Once you get there, I am sure you will love it!
*Become a follower of my blog
*Leave me a comment telling me what you think of this sketch and the blog hop, and if you would like a second chance in the draw

6 days and counting
Well in less than a week we start with the Let's Scrap blog hop. I am nearly ready - just a few technical hitches but I'm sure they will be sorted out by the 1st February. I'm off tomorrow to go and buy some RAK for the lucky winner and I can't wait, it is just obvious that I will have to buy some more stuff for myself (lol). I think my stash is more than my pages.
So in preparation of the blog hop, I started following some of the hosts, but I found it quite time consuming. Only managed to follow 10 day, so my goal is to follow another 10 everyday and by the 1st I will be able to scrap way and not worry about the administration side.
I have checked my diary and I have absolutely nothing planned for February. My mom is emigrating to the UK and leaves on Monday 30 Jan, so this month has been hectic. At least I will be able to drown my sorrows in scrapbooking and I can't wait.
So until the 1 February 2012........ Ciaio

Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop
When I received the email from Mindi regarding the Let's Scrap leap around the world blog hop, I didn't have to think for longer than 60 seconds before I hit reply with a "count me in". I had so much fun with the 2011 blog hop that I decided to be more involved in this one.
The blog hop starts on the 1st February and ends on the 29th February (it's Leap year this year and you only get to Leap Around the World every 4 years). Watch this space for your card layout and be prepared to win some candy. Best I start looking to see what I'm going to put together.
