The month of February

A lot has happened over the last month.  My mom emigrated to the UK which was quite emotional.  To help with all the stress in my life, I decided to scrap.  Scrapbook 'n Things had a special for the month of February where you paid R300 and you could attend as many classes as you wanted.  I definitely made the most of this offer.  I completed at least 2 double pages a week.  My aim was to complete one of the albums that my mom had asked me to do of my step-father and just chill.  I was doing someone else's pages, so I didn't have to think either it was absolute bliss.

Then we had the Leap around the World blog hop which was also fun, although time consuming.  I am still trying to figure out if it was the blog hop that made me use my 10gig allowance of broadband :).  If you don't tell my family, I certainly wont.

Lara from Scrapbook 'n Things also has a monthly challenge where you buy a kit at less 20% and you must use everything in the kit and come up with a unique design.  The customers that come into the shop then get to vote and the winner gets a American Cardstock pack + a gift voucher to shop in the store.  Not bad actually.

This is one of the pages I designed using the Scrap Collections range of papers and a Let's Scrap sketch.

I also arranged a scrapbook fundraiser which was held on 18 February 2012 and thanks to Michelle van Wyk for helping me with the double page layout called Seek, I designed another single page of all the precious children at Tsholofelo Baby Sanctuary where I volunteer called Love Blooms Here.

My mission for the month of March is to finish all my unfinished pages and their are loads of them.  I battle putting on titles and doing journalling. As I finish, I will take photo's and load them for all to see.

Happy Scrapping
Sharon

  2. Hi fellow Sharon! I hope you have a wonderful March! I hope that your mom is doing good in the UK, and you are OK, too. I can only imagine how emotional that must have been! Take care.
